JEDI Program and Agendas

 

President Bonahue welcomes JEDI participants 2021As noted on the introduction page, the JEDI Institute is a year-long professional development program that aims to help SCCC employees make the college more just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive for students.

In the photo at right, SCCC President Dr. Edward Bonahue greets our pilot participants and thanks them for taking on this important work.

The JEDI Institute consists of a summer institute comprised of three five-hour sessions that culminating in a plan to be implemented in the fall semester. A January follow up session enables further reflection for a spring semester revision. Ultimately the goal is to make our college more student-centered in every facet, in keeping with the college mission statement and strategic plan.

 

Session 1: Why JEDI Matters
