October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and once again Team FA will be participating in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

This year it will take place on Saturday, October 5, along the riverfront in Grangabel Park in downtown Riverhead.

We will meet at 9:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m.

Last year, as part of the larger NYSUT family, friends and family members of Team FA raised more than $2,500.

These vital donations support the American Cancer Society in breast cancer research, provide free information and support and help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it may be more treatable.
