Other than the membership itself, you'll be hard pressed to find a group within the FA that plays a more pivotal role in shaping the direction of our union than our 35 Executive Council (EC) representatives. What is the EC? The EC consists of the six at-large officers as well as the EC reps elected by the membership every two years. The EC meets once each month during the academic year to
EC reps also serve as liaisons between the FA and their respective constituencies. Prior to each EC meeting, EC reps contact their constituents to solicit questions or concerns, report all and any issues during the EC meeting, get feedback and then report back to the constituent and/or constituency. Welcome new reps! You can find your designated EC representative on the FA website, and we hope you'll join us in welcoming our newest EC reps who were elected last spring. Special elections to fill vacancies A few vacancies remain on our EC, and we do not like having any constituency group unrepresented. Members in the areas below should watch for upcoming information about special elections to fill these EC seats (please note that all but the first are college-wide positions):
