  • Happy retirement to Anita Greifenstein, FA administrative assistant: We are grateful to Anita and wish her well on her retirement! For over two decades, Anita has been the voice and face of the FA office, taking phone calls and answering emails to direct members to the appropriate officer to assist them. She has helped to keep us organized and smiling, and we are happy for her as she transitions to the next phase of her life as a retiree. We know she will enjoy her time with her husband Tony, her children and grandchildren and of course her beloved Maine Coon cat. If you weren’t able to attend our May 13 open house party for her, you can still let Anita know how much she will be missed and wish her well by email (anita@fascc.org), phone (631-451-4151) or a visit (Southampton 224J, Ammerman Campus).

  • FA and Benefit Fund summer hours: The FA office and the Benefit Fund will be open this summer but closed on Fridays. Given our staff’s various vacation days, it’s wise to email or call the FA office (info@fascc.org, 631-451-4151) or the Benefit Fund office (mary@fascc.org, 631-451-4323) before you swing by.

  • Summer 2026 adjunct, overload and other pay dates: According to payroll, faculty and classroom PA’s working this summer can expect to be paid during the sessions in which they are working.

    • 2nd six-week session (7/10-8/19): July 23, August 6, August 20

Nonclassroom PA’s, librarians and members working summer OTA ten-week program and other* assignments will be paid on five of the summer payrolls—again, to the degree possible, during the summer sessions in which you’re working: June 25, July 9, July 23, August 6 and August 20. Contact Payroll for more information. (*Other includes auto, special projects, reassigned time, coordinators and distance ed.)

Similarly, counselors will be paid based on scheduled work assignments on the following payrolls: June 25, July 0, July 23, August 6, August 20 and September 3.
