Please join us in congratulating our colleagues who completed the promotion process last spring and now have their promotions in effect! Promotion is an important recognition of the excellent work our members are performing across the college, both in the classroom and out of the classroom. The process begins each spring for full-time members, with eligible candidates signaling their intent to apply in May, and wraps up the following spring with final decisions being announced. For adjunct members, the process takes place each fall and spring depending on when they are eligible, and all promotions take effect the following fall. The fall semester is when observations and promotion interviews take place, something that full-time members who applied last spring will be experiencing this semester. If you are among those full-time members who are going to be navigating the process this fall, watch for emails from me with important information and due dates. If you will be eligible to apply this coming spring, or just want to learn about the process for the future, watch for information on promotion workshop dates coming in February 2024 or check the FA wall calendar for those dates. It’s never too early to begin planning for promotion! Please reach out to me with any questions you may have.
