The FA thanks you for your service and hard work during the 2022-23 academic year. We appreciate your dedication to providing a solid student experience each semester.

This adjunct update covers promotions, LAP adjunct initiatives, fascc.org and a contact information reminder.

Promotions

I am happy to announce that 21 adjunct colleagues were promoted to a higher rank this spring, and their promotions will officially take effect in September. The September issue of The WORD will announce the names of the promoted adjuncts. Congratulations to all!

NYSUT Local Action Project (LAP)

NYSUT chose the FA to participate in the 2022-24 Local Action Project. This three-year commitment focuses on planning projects and events to strengthen our union. One of our major initiatives for LAP is member engagement, and the LAP committee at our spring meeting has planned to create adjunct socials for next year to meet the officers and hear your stories. Stay tuned for upcoming save-the-dates.

The FA website contains invaluable information regarding membership, benefits, assignments, pay, promotion and professional development for adjuncts. From the menu, find the adjuncts heading and click the drop-down menu for the links. The FA calendar also is posted on our homepage, as it is a repository for The WORD. Bookmark the website for quick access.

Contact information 

Please update your contact information with the FA if you have changed your home address, email address and/or phone number since you started at the college. Without the correct contact information, the FA cannot send you The WORD, important updates or election materials and we may be unable to contact you. Send your updated contact information to Anita in the FA office.
