Member benefits: Health Advocate and Forgive My Student Debt
Cynthia Eaton

  Health Advocate

Health Advocate is a benefit provided to all FA Benefit Fund members that helps you navigate the healthcare system. Call your personal health advocate today!

As FA members, you are automatically members of NYSUT and AFT as well, which means you qualify for all of the NYSUT Member Benefits and AFT Member Benefits.

Here are two benefits of union membership—one from the FA and one from the AFT—that we'd like to highlight this month.

Health Advocate

Health Advocate is a special benefit paid by the FA Benefit Fund to help you and your family navigate the healthcare system and help you with issues involving your medical, hospital, vision, dental, pharmacy and other healthcare needs.

There is NO COST for eligible Benefit Fund members and their families to use Health Advocate. Call them toll free at 866-695-8622 to speak with a personal health advocate (PHA) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. After hours and on weekends, leave a message and the on-call PHA will return your call.
