Did you know that the SCC Foundation distributed more than $550,000 in student scholarships last year?

These awards mean a great deal to our many diverse students who need the support to continue in their educational careers.

One way the Foundation can continue supporting our students is from the proceeds of the annual SCC Foundation Salute to Excellence Gala. To be held on Thursday, May 7, this year's event will honor four Long Island business leaders at the Hilton Long Island in Melville starting at 7 p.m.

Your ticket helps fund an extensive array of need-based and merit-based scholarships as well as emergency student loans and academic enrichment programs at the college.

While we continue to fight for increasing public funding of the college as a way to help keep tuition low, the FA officers attend the Foundation gala each year to show support for the Foundation's critical role in helping our students succeed.
