- How your adjunct/overload salary is calculated: The contact hour value of your course is multiplied by the credit/contact hour rate for your rank. Divide your total by the number of payrolls in the semester (usually 7) to calculate the biweekly gross amount you will receive per paycheck, e.g., an instructor teaching one three-credit class: 3 x $1,178 = $3,534, divided by 7 = $504.86 gross per paycheck.
- Sabbatical workshops: Applications for the 2016-17 year are due October 15. Workshops will be held during common hour on these dates: Ammerman 9/14, Grant 9/21 and Eastern 9/28.
- FA again donates $500 to Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity & Human Understanding: Each year the FA sponsors an art panel for the Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity & Human Understanding. Our $500 donation helped underwrite the 2016 Embracing Our Differences - Long Island project that uses art and public exhibitions to build character and help promote peaceful coexistence. Thousands of people view the exhibition in major public venues and schools.
