- FA and Benefit Fund summer hours: The FA office will be open this summer on Monday through Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The FA office will be closed August 1 through August 5.
The Benefit Fund office will be open this summer on Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Benefit Fund office will be closed
from July 5 to July 8.
- Summer 2016 adjunct/overload pay dates: Faculty working during the upcoming summer terms can expect to be paid as follows:
- First five-week session: June 23
- Eight-week session: July 7 and July 21
- Second five-week session: August 4

PA, library, and other assignments will be paid on all four summer payrolls. Counselors will be paid according to their counseling schedule.
- Promotion deadline: The deadline for full-time faculty applying for promotion effective September 2017 is June 15. Faculty must submit three copies of their A Form: the original to their campus executive dean, one copy to their academic chair or supervisor and one copy to the FA. - 2016-17 holidays: The following represents the paid holidays for counselors, librarians, PAs, specialists and coordinators for the upcoming academic year.

Plus one (1) unscheduled holiday for ten-month librarians, counselors, coordinators, professional assistants, specialists. Twelve-month faculty have their thirteen holidays. In the case of ten-month faculty, the unscheduled holiday will be added to N or U days.
The following is a summary of the 2016-17 N and U days:
- Counselors and librarians 38 + 1 = 39 N days
- Ten-month coordinators (lab) 43 + 1 = 44 N days
- Ten-month professional assistants and specialists 9 + 1 = 10 U days*
- Twelve-month coordinators (instructional) 7 U days
- Twelve-month counselors 35 N days
- Twelve-month professional assistants and specialists 7 U days

- EC meeting dates: EC representatives should plan to attend monthly meetings in the upcoming academic year on the following dates. Most meetings are held on Thursdays at 3:45 in the Southampton Building at Ammerman.

- 2016-17 non-classroom faculty work year: Executive VP Sean Tvelia requests that nonclassroom faculty ask their administrators to inform them by June 1 what their work year will be in the next academic year. As per the FA contract, “The College agrees to notify librarians, counselors, [and]... 10 month professional assistants of the starting date of the new work year for each discipline by the preceding June 1 of each year... The work year shall be... from 10 or fewer working days prior to September 1 through the same number of working days prior to June 30.”
Please note that day classes begin on Monday, August 29, with convocation on that day from 4 to 7 p.m. and that there's professional development day on Tuesday, October 11.
